Place small business ads on the Google Ad Network only if your keywords are unique, location based and branded for you in your local neighborhood. That is, do not compete with the big dogs for generic terms like 'low cost airfares,' or 'best price on ____'
Placing advertisements for small home based business needs a wide social media approach, too. Generate followers in a local tribe. Your customer group will grow and expand naturally by word of mouth.
Don't throw away your hard earned money on the big advertising platforms like facebook, Google and Microsoft Ads. I am still learning this hard lesson of where to place my advertising messages.
