Purpose of the call and stakeholders
The purpose is to finance projects for the development and implementation of educational campaigns for awareness rising regarding resource management, waste recycling and circular economy among educational institutions (schools) and the population.
The call targets educational institutions (schools) and the general public.

 

Location

Activities should be carried out on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Donor States (Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Kingdom of Norway).

 

 

Important!

 

Each applicant may submit only one project proposal under this Call. In case an applicant has submitted more than one project proposal, only the first project proposal submitted will be admitted for evaluation.


Important!

If the applicant has submitted more than one version of a project proposal, the latest version submitted within the deadline for receiving the project proposals will be evaluated and the previous ones will be considered as withdrawn.
If a participant is a partner in more than 2 (two) projects, only the first two of his project proposals submitted by the deadline for receiving the project proposals will be eligible for evaluation.

General objectives

 

The purpose of this call is not to use music as a means to
achieve social inclusion, but rather to attract less advantaged children to the world of music. the overall aim of this call is the
elaboration and implementation of at least 8 innovative approaches to foster informal/non-formal music education and learning, involving either education institutions or representatives/representative organisations from the education sector cooperating with representatives/representative organisations of the music sector. The objective is to test small-scale projects with a European dimension. 

 

Specific objectives
The proposals should demonstrate their contribution to the general objective by covering the two following specific objectives:
1. Promote the cooperation between non-formal/informal education and the music sector with the aim to foster social inclusion, i.e. access to music for less advantaged children or community involvement;
2. Develop a small-scale project with a clear European added value, that is suitable for the exchange of good practices and could lead to a knowledge transfer for similar projects in other countries.

 

  • BUDGET AVAILABLE

    The maximum grant per project will be EUR 30,000.00.
    The Commission expects to fund at least 8 proposals.
    The maximum co-financing rate will be 80%

Specific Challenge:

This topic promotes innovative approaches to strengthen the cooperation between industry and education in order to bridge the gap between skills' offer and demand.

The applicant's choice of sector and action has to be based on an analysis of the needs of the labour market and of the industry, including at cross-border level. In order to ensure that supported activities take due account of clearly identified needs, projects should bring together stakeholders from both the industry, education and training providers (both at higher and vocational level).

 

Proposals submitted under this topic must provide concrete and effective responses to at least one of the following challenges:

  1. Lack of entrepreneurial skills, including social entrepreneurial skills of graduates at both higher education and vocational education and training (VET) levels. Students need to be better equipped with advanced technical  as well as soft skills enabling them to develop new ideas and products, and possibly launch their own start-up. Lack of profiles with strong adaptation capacity, able to update their skills to future needs that are still unknown;

  2. Lack of structured, defined and continued collaboration between industry and education/training in order to ensure that curricula and training programmes are actually meeting industry needs; lack of industry involvement and leading companies to re-train internally the graduates; difficulties in attracting a sufficient number of competent lecturers with work experience in the maritime industry; difficulties in keeping employees as full-time workers in the companies;

  3.  Lack of “skills ecosystems” at sea basin level between education, industry and public authorities (knowledge triangle), to support trans-regional innovation strategies.

Objectives:

The aim of this call is to support projects for the creation of transnational and national networks and partnerships of VET providers in initial and continuing VET with a view to supporting policy reflection at a European level, as well as promoting awareness and implementation of European VET policies at national and regional levels.
The overall objective of the call is to invite the submission of proposals for bottom up partnerships which should encourage the creation of transnational and national VET providers' networks and partnerships to work together at national and European level.

Proposals should be submitted under one of the following two Lots:
— Lot 1: National, regional or sectoral VET provider organisations

— Lot 2: European umbrella VET provider organisations

 

Budget
The total budget earmarked for the co-financing of projects is estimated at a maximum of EUR 6 million with an indicative
distribution of EUR 4 million for Lot 1 and EUR 2 million for Lot 2. The maximum EU co-financing rate will be 80 %.
Each grant will amount to between EUR 300 000 and EUR 500 000 for Lot 1 and between EUR 600 000 and EUR 800 000 for Lot 2.

Boosting innovation in higher education, business and in the broader socio-economic environment:
- jointly developing and implementing new learning and teaching methods (like new multidisciplinary curricula, learner-centred and real problem-based teaching and learning);
o organising continuing educational programmes and activities with and within companies;

-  jointly developing solutions for challenging issues, product and process innovation (students, professors and practitioners together).
Developing entrepreneurial mind-set and skills:
-  creating schemes of transversal skills learning and application throughout higher education programmes developed in cooperation with enterprises aiming at strengthening employability, creativity and new professional paths;
- introducing entrepreneurship education in any discipline to provide students, researchers, staff and educators with the knowledge, skills and motivation to engage in entrepreneurial activities in a variety of settings;

- opening up new learning opportunities through the practical application of entrepreneurial skills, which can involve and/or lead to the commercialisation of new services, products and prototypes, to the creation of start-ups and spin-offs.

Stimulating the flow and exchange of knowledge between higher education and enterprises:
- study field related activities in enterprises which are fully embedded in the curriculum, recognised and credited;
-  set-ups to trial and test innovative measures;
-  exchanges of students, researchers, teaching staff and company staff for a limited period;

The general objective is to promote the improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of education and training systems through the collection and evaluation of evidence on the systemic impact of innovative policy measures. This call requires the involvement of high-level public authorities of the eligible countries and the use of sound and widely recognised evaluation methods based on field trials (experimentation).
The specific objectives of this call are to:
— Promote trans-national cooperation and mutual learning among public authorities at the highest institutional level of the eligible countries in order to foster systemic improvement and innovation in the education and training fields,

KEY PLAYERS IN POLICY EXPERIMENTATION

When preparing an application, it is essential to involve all the relevant actors.
They should reach a consensus on the main elements of the experimentation, including : objectives, analysis of needs, the measure to be tested, the initial hypothesis, structures to be involved, target groups, potential participants in the field trials (including identification and selection criteria), human and financial resources, expected quantitative and qualitative outcomes, research and analysis methodologies, potential for follow-up, etc..

An organisation may submit only one application, either for a Framework Partnership Agreement or for an Annual Operating Grant.

Eligibility
Any public or private body active in the fields of education, training, youth and sport may apply for funding within the
Erasmus+ Programme. In addition, groups of young people who are active in youth work, but not necessarily in the
context of a youth organisation, may apply for funding for learning mobility of young people and youth workers as well
as for Strategic partnerships in the field of youth.
The following Programme Countries can fully take part in all Erasmus+ Programme actions 
— the Member States of the European Union,
— the EFTA/EEA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway,
— EU candidate countries: Turkey and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
In addition, certain Erasmus+ Programme actions are open to organisations from partner countries.
Please refer to the Erasmus+ Programme Guide for further details on the modalities of participation.
For British applicants: Please be aware that eligibility criteria must be complied with for the entire duration of the grant. If the
United Kingdom withdraws from the EU during the grant period without concluding an agreement with the EU ensuring in
particular that British applicants continue to be eligible, you will cease to receive EU funding (while continuing, where
possible, to participate) or be required to leave the project.

The overall objective of the programme is to promote sustainable development and ultimately contribute to poverty reduction by increasing the availability of trained and highly qualified professional manpower in Africa. The programme’s specific objective is to improve the skills and competences of students and staff through enhanced intra-African mobility. Strengthening cooperation between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Africa will increase access to quality education and will encourage and enable African students to undertake postgraduate studies in the African continent. Furthermore, mobility of staff (academic and administrative) will enhance the international cooperation capacity of HEIs in Africa.
