This design uses only natural sunlight, sand and a large fresnel lens (like a magnifying glass only flat) to melt the sand into natural glass objects. Imagine the potential for housing displaced refugees by simply printing out whole houses using local materials and the sun - no VOCs, no complicated distribution and logistics. Of course, people who live in glass houses still need to be careful of stone throwers...
