This was an incredibly quick read being an infographic. While flipping the classroom sounds like a daunting process, this 6 step guide provides a clear sequence on how to initiate this change.

This image with these steps has motivated me to record my videos and provide guidance for my students. I have students who struggle understanding my lesson at time, if I give them the option of watching it over, I think they could understand algebra better and get the results we need.

1. Give people permission to trust their own intuition and wisdom.
2. Give people only as much information as they can handle.
3. Don’t take their power away. (I'm working on reframing that to a "do" vs a "don't")
4. Keep your own ego out of it. (again, working to reframe)
5. Make them feel safe enough to fail. (Breathing this one in made a very hard week a LOT easier)
6. Give guidance and help with humility and thoughtfulness.
7. Create a container for complex emotions, fear, trauma, etc. (For facilitators, this is often pre-thinking how to empower the group when one person "goes off")
8. Allow them to make different decisions and to have different experiences than you would.
