A new partnership between Barclays and Verifone will roll out a mobile commerce solution aimed at enabling faster mobile payments across 20,000 U.K. retailers.

Finextra: UK payment processor WorldPay is to press ahead with a flotation on the London Stock Exchange, snubbing a potential £6.6 billion takeover offer from French outfit Ingenico.

28 large retailers have orders with 13 being new to Verifone... EMV replacement is pushing revenues while VeriFone insists there is growth in certifications and demand for its E series mobile terminals. EMV upgrades in US will take another two years, however likely those numbers will dwindle after 2016.

Ingenico recently posted EUR 2.197 billion in annual revenues and targets to achieve EUR 4 billion by 2020. Acquision has been an area of focus of Ingenico including recent attempts to acquire WorldPay.
We will see acquisitions from both Ingenico and Verifone as greater value added services from P2P encryption, security, loyalty, apps using payment as a service model will emerge to support the terminal hardware ecosystem.
