Over recent years, the criteria for engagement on social media has evolved from announcing your brand or product to finding a way to tell a story. Quality branded video campaigns allow companies to project said story in some really creative and unique ways. Whether you're spreading brand awareness, announcing a new product, or launching a company, great branded video makes customers feel an emotional connection. And that emotional reaction can be really powerful. In fact, a recent survey by eZanga found that 30% of respondents were less likely to skip video content if it was humorous. And research by Dr. Karen Nelson-Field found that 65% of videos that elicited a feeling of exhilaration were most remembered. When it comes to finding the right platform to promote your video, Facebook is a strong contender. In fact, just this past January it announced that platform now sees 100 million hours of daily video watch time. So to help inspire your video marketing efforts on Facebook, I put together a list of 10 clever examples from brands like Apple, LG, BMW, and more. Check them out below....

Since that update, Facebook has become one of the top referrers of traffic to news sites and blogs of all sizes, and in the summer of 2015, traffic analytics company Parsely revealed that Facebook had even overtaken Google as the number 1 referrer of traffic to news sites....

Is your Facebook engagement dropping?
Need some inspiration to pump up your Facebook marketing?
As the Facebook news feed continues to change, it’s important to figure out how to make the platform work for you.
In this article I’ll share Facebook pages from both large and small brands, and tips to incorporate their tactics into your Facebook marketing plan.
According to John McDermott at Digiday, Instagram is conducting a test (yes, for now it’s just a test) with Mercedes-Benz that allows them to target Facebook users who previously saw one of its Instagram ads. While this development is eye-opening in and of itself, as it gives hints into Facebook plans on returning their $1B investment, it also shows Facebook’s commitment to transforming how advertising not only can coexist with social media, but thrive and break into new levels of adoption.
What stands out the most to me is how inherent behavioral characteristics seen on both Facebook and Instagram are being aligned with their natural fit in the conversion funnel. As noted by McDermott, Instagram’s product naturally promotes behavior more conducive to the top of the funnel, where brand awareness comes into play. If Instagram is committed to preserving the user experience that allowed them to break 200 million users, it behooves them to preserve this characteristic of their product and not to “forcefully” incorporate more direct-response elements like call-to-action buttons, etc....
While we chase the dream of having and creating an awesome Facebook page, many brands can’t make their Facebook marketing work. You might be making these mistakes or you’ve witnessed some of your favourite brands make them once or twice. Some of them are cringworthy while others can actually cost you the fans you’ve worked so hard to capture.
And while these mistakes are made by thousands around the world, the aren’t created equal. I’ve made many mistakes over the course of my career in digital marketing and social media but I’ve learned from them. Why? Because mistakes are okay if you learn from them as a result....

If you happen to be using Facebook for outreach and marketing, the new hashtag feature will extend your reach dramatically. This will create both risks and rewards, so you will want to choose your hashtags with care....

Facebook recently launched a new feature which has been used by a number or high-profile journalists in order to host conversations. The feature is currently being rolled out, and all Facebook pages will get the option by 10 July, as will all individual accounts where the person has more than 10,000 followers. In a similar way to a Reddit AMA (ask me anything), a person or page can take questions in real-time. The Q&A feature was announced on 25 March, and has since been used by Arianna Huffington, ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer, and CBS News senior correspondent and former FBI spokesman John Miller, who did a live Facebook Q&A about the investigation into the Boston marathon bombings....

An announcement late last week by the Facebook media team may have been overlooked by many marketers, but it has intriguing ramifications. Facebook announced that it would effectively allow any organization with a verified page to publish brand-sponsored content without asking Facebook for explicit permission first, provided that content was tagged to the brand. Brut what do we really know about its triggers? I asked Facebook for more details about the cause and effect of my behavior in News Feed to figure out why things happen the way they do. The answers were pretty interesting — some were even “Like”-worthy.
