MSN sees over 425 million visitors each month, many of whom come to get the news from some of the world’s most authoritative news organizations. And as the go-to platform for breaking news, legions of journalists and eyewitnesses turn to Twitter to get their stories out across the world.

MSN’s global web properties will now feature a Tweet as their breaking news banner.

Whether it’s LeBron James Tweeting his move to the Cleveland Cavaliers or breaking news from a trusted account on Twitter like the New York Times, MSN.com visitors will see news in the form of a Tweet.

Many of these Tweets will come from news organizations such as The New York Times (@nytimes), The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ), The Washington Post (@washingtonpost), @CNN, @AOL in the U.S.; Yomiuri Shimbun (@Yomiuri_Online) and Asahi Shimbun (@asahi) in Japan;@SkyNews, The Guardian (@guardian) and The Telegraph (@Telegraph) in the UK; @NDTV and Hindustan Times (@htTweets) in India; and @Le_Figaro and Le Monde (@lemondefr) in France. Tweets may also come from news sources such as government accounts, celebrities, spokespeople or eyewitnesses to an event....
