World's first colorless coffee promises not to stain your teeth

World's first colorless coffee promises not to stain your teeth | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Until now, the risk of slightly stained teeth has been just a small price to pay for the satisfaction and energy boost that coffee brings. However, London-based startup CLR CFF claim to have created the world’s first ‘colorless coffee’—the pair of words itself almost an oxymoron. brewed with high quality arabica coffee beans and pure water, the disconcerting drink promises a ‘fresh, aromatic taste and flavor’ that does not require sugar or milk.

Made with a ‘never before used’ coffee brewing method, the brew comes without the dark brown color of the coffee as we know it , and consequently does not yellow your tooth enamel.

CLR CFF promises that the energy-boosting beverage does not contain preservatives, artificial flavors, stabilizers, sugar or any other sweeteners. the startup—founded by slovakian brothers david and adam nagy—came about after the pair struggled with teeth stains brought about by a caffeine-infused lifestyle. After finding nothing on the market that filled the gap left by coffee without staining their teeth, the duo set out to create a drink brewed with the same arabica beans, that wouldn’t have such a negative effect on their smiles..

Jeff Domansky's insight:

CLR CFF have created the world’s first clear coffee, brewed with arabica coffee beans and water for an aromatic taste that does not discolor your teeth.

Starbucks Roastery coming to Chicago's Magnificent Mile in 2019 | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Starbucks plans to open a four-level Roastery flagship on Michigan Avenue, its largest space yet for the high-end concept that the coffee giant is rolling out throughout the world.

At 43,000 square feet, Chicago's is the largest among six Roastery emporiums that Starbucks has announced. The size will eclipse a planned 30,000-square-foot space in China, which had been the largest one announced to date.

It will be the third Roastery in the United States, following one that opened in Starbucks' hometown of Seattle in December 2014 and another expected to open in New York in 2018. Roastery stores are set to open in Shanghai this year and in Milan and Tokyo in 2018, the company said....

How To Supercharge Your Coffee To Give You Even More Energy In The Morning | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

The old world tradition of adding butter to coffee has recently re-emerged as a performance enhancer embraced by the likes of Bulletproof Executive founder Dave Asprey and holistic health guru Andrew Weil.

Weil asserts that the often demonized saturated fat poses no risk for increased heart disease and may actually help "stimulate the body's fat-burning potential" in addition to boosting creativity and productivity.

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Inquiring minds? Turns out adding butter to coffee is all the rage - here's a recipe for butter blended coffee. Coffee with your creativity anyone? LOL.

The mokase phone cover turns your smartphone into a portable espresso maker

The mokase phone cover turns your smartphone into a portable espresso maker | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

There will always be times in the day when you are in desperate need of a caffeine boost, yet no where near the closest café. and for these times, mokase have comprised the answer to your caffeine-deprived prayers, in the shape of a phone case that converts your smartphone into an on-the-go espresso maker. using a simple system of a disposable insert which houses the coffee, and an app that heats it up on demand, the mokase pours out an espresso made by your smartphone.

On setting out to develop a product to brew coffee whilst out and about, Luigi Carfora and clemente biondo of ‘smart k’ had the idea of incorporating it into a gadget already carried around every day—the smartphone. the duo successfully designed a case that measures less than 1cm in thickness,  is completely waterproof and insulates the coffee when brewed. through a side slit in the mokase, the ‘mokaromi’ cartridge is inserted. the coffee—sealed within a vacuum on the inside of the cartridge—is freed when inserted into the phone, as the ‘spout’ breaks the membrane of the vacuum allowing the drink to exit....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Using a disposable insert which houses the coffee, and an app that heats it up on demand, the mokase pours out an espresso made by your smartphone. At least, that's the intended design. Fanciful? Yes. Bring it on!

Cafe X opens in San Francisco, bringing robots to the coffee shop

Cafe X opens in San Francisco, bringing robots to the coffee shop | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

The world’s first coffee shop opened in Constantinople in 1555. Four hundred and some years later, Cafe X is putting a twist on that old barista model. Opening in San Francisco today, the startup is opting instead to have a large robotic arm craft your caffeinated potions.

Founder Henry Hu noticed that baristas spent a majority of their time moving cups around while making espresso drinks. So, much like anyone’s natural reaction to that epiphany, Hu decided to build a fully mechanized coffee shop. At scale, Cafe X should be able to increase margins within the industry while reducing wait times for hurried patrons.

Third-wave coffee afficionados dealing in drips and expensive siphons might find fault in Hu’s thesis, though a Mitsubishi 6-axis industrial robot is arguably the most “elite” tool imaginable for making coffee....

The secret to productivity? Ambient coffee shop noise, piped right into your ears | TheNextWeb

The secret to productivity? Ambient coffee shop noise, piped right into your ears | TheNextWeb | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

For many people, especially those who often work from home (like yours truly), a trip to the local coffee shop can lead to a major productivity boost. Apparently, unbeknownst to most, there’s science to that phenomenon: the level of ambient noise common in coffee shops has been proven to increase creativity.

This fact was the catalyst for Coffitivity, a charming site created by Justin Kauszler, Nicole Horton and ACe Callwood, which simply pipes ambient coffee shop noise right into your ears.

Interestingly, the site’s developer, Kauszler, only started learning to code last month....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Nothing like coffee creativity...
