New video interview app Qanda wants your questions AND your answers (Online Journalism Blog)

New video interview app Qanda wants your questions AND your answers (Online Journalism Blog) | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

The openness of social networks like Twitter or the ability to find an expert on LinkedIn, might make you think that this is territory already covered. But how much do we really openly share our own ideas?

Unless you are hanging around New York and run into a photographer called Brandon (Humans Of New York), you are unlikely to be asked the questions that get you talking about your own ideas and knowledge in depth.

Can Qanda be the app to get people asking those questions?

The use of mobile video in responses aligns with the rising trend in young people watching and sharing content from mobile devices. It’s also well established in journalism circles as one of the best approaches in interviews to get real, meaningful responses....

Keeeb, The Free Next Generation Knowledge Management System for Everyone - noupe

Keeeb, The Free Next Generation Knowledge Management System for Everyone - noupe | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Bookmarking services are a dime a dozen. So, I wasn't too keen on checking out yet another iteration by the name of Keeeb. But, and I honestly mean it, I'm glad I did....

textKeeeb takes the fun aspect from Pinterest, being able to clip photos, videos and – what Pinterest is not able to do – text snippets and presenting the content in the grid-based Pinterest-style layout. Other than Pinterest, Keeeb allows for remixing the content from different sources. You can integrate text, photo and video from different sources into one keeebie. This resembles the So.cl approach, should anybody ever have come across this social network from Redmond…

...The difference to Keeeb is, that in Keeeb you do not save whole pages (articles whatever), but you concentrate on only the relevant snippets. Keeeb founder Konrad Gulla says, that the approach of Pocket or Instapaper and other read-it-later services does not solve the problems, information overload imposes on us. Instead, the pile of unread items stacks up and gets higher by the hour, a wrong track. With Keeeb you only save the relevant passages from articles, which – if you really do – surely adds value to your research....

Cool tool that is worth exploring.

Make Old Speakers Bluetooth-Enabled With This Little Gadget

Make Old Speakers Bluetooth-Enabled With This Little Gadget | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Instead of breaking the bank for new Bluetooth speakers, "The Vamp" device adds portable power and Bluetooth connectivity to any old speaker you might have. If you have an old speaker collecting dust in the garage or shoved in the back of the closet, there's now a clever way to make it useful again. The London-based Paul Cocksedge Studio is raising funds on Kickstarter to further develop "The Vamp," a cube-like device that attaches to any speaker and adds Bluetooth capability. Instead of buying new Bluetooth speakers, The Vamp sort of makes the retro relevant again, as demonstrated in the video above....
