5 Instagram Tools to Better Manage Your Marketing | Social Media Examiner

5 Instagram Tools to Better Manage Your Marketing | Social Media Examiner | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Is your business using Instagram?

Do you need better tools?

Many marketers haven’t adopted Instagram because it doesn’t offer the right tools to help them use it effectively.

Here are five Instagram tools to help you become more efficient with Instagram....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Good look at Instagram tools Statigr.am, Postso, Repost, Justunfollow and Twtrland.

Angelina's curator insight, July 22, 2014 8:24 AM

Ian Cleary has noticed the growing trend of Instagram users and proposed 5 Instagram tools that help users to better manage their marketing.

(1) Statigr.am allows Instagram users to manage their account more effectively through providing several functions: view your own or friends' feeds (interact with multiple images in a short amount of time), view statistics of one's account, snapshots of popular photos, manage and promote account to new users and to join contests to gain more recognition

(2) Repost is a mobile app that allow users to browse through content from your feeds and repost the content to attract attention in the community. This app works best if your account intends to do a collaboration with other users (people will know who is the original creator of the content as attribution of the user is displayed by default)

(3) Postso allows users to share multiple images instantly on social media, which saves time for users to post images one by one. Users can schedule their images to be posted at a specific timing.

(4) Justunfollow allows users to manage their followers on Instagram, which helps them to build their communities and unfollow anyone that are spamming them

(5) Twtrland allows users to analyze their own and competitors' accounts on social media. This helps users to build their communities and know the methods of gaining more attention on Instagram through viewing competitors' networks, interests and photos posted.

With these tools, Instagram will continue to grow in the future and people will have multiple ways to gain recognition and popularity online.

Microsoft's Secret Social Weapon: Why Yammer Will Replace Traditional Extranets

Microsoft's Secret Social Weapon: Why Yammer Will Replace Traditional Extranets | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Batman has a utility belt: a set of useful gadgets he can rely on during his never-ending fight against crime....

Yammer is a lot like Batman’s utility belt.

In the same way that the utility belt offers a solution for every scenario Batman might encounter in the fight against crime, Yammer offers — either out of the box or through an add-on app — a solution for most every social business use case. Newsfeed? Check. Document collaboration and conversation? Check. Integration with external applications? Check. Mobile apps for all leading platforms? Check. Badging? Check (try the Badgeville app). Et cetera, et cetera.

Every once in a while both Batman and Yammer run into scenarios that aren’t so common. Sometimes (and more often than you might think) Batman might need to fight a shark. And sometimes Yammer makes a lot of sense as a way to engage external users — in a fashion that goes well beyond the traditional “extranet” scenario...,

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Holy external communications Batman.

From The Founders of .Co, Pop.Co Is A Fast, Simple Way To Launch Businesses Online | TechCrunch

From The Founders of .Co, Pop.Co Is A Fast, Simple Way To Launch Businesses Online | TechCrunch | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

The company behind the .co domain has been working to associate .co websites with startups and innovation. Now its founders are trying to make it as easy as possible to start a business online with a new company called Pop.co.

thisBasically, Pop.co is a bundle of online services that should remove any barrier between coming up with a cool idea and building a web presence around that idea. This approach is particularly important in a future where entrepreneurs run “three or four micro-businesses at a time, easy come, easy go, and you don’t have to keep the domain forever,” said CTO Tom Lackner — he suggested you should even be able to set all this up from your smartphone.

Lackner and CEO Juan Diego Calle gave me a quick demo of Pop.co. You just pick the .co address that you’re interested in (assuming it’s available, and if it’s not, Pop.co will suggest alternatives), then the company automatically claims it for you, and you can either use Pop.co’s simple web page editor to create the page with just a little bit of typing, or use its simple DNS editor to point the website to a page you’ve created on another service like LaunchRock or Barley....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

This tool may be exactly what the doctor ordered for your new online business launch. Regardless, you have to admire the patient.

We all know that social media can be an addiction, a slippery slope consumed by a syndrome commonly referred to as Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). Totally Limitless's curator insight, July 10, 2013 5:52 PM

There is a definate buzz around social media and the fear that if you don't take a look at something, you can miss out, I think affiliate marketing is very addictive, I'm an affiliate and I've connected with many others who are the same as me, but I love this business and feel that you have to be in it to win it!!   Heather

Derek Chua's curator insight, December 5, 2016 8:40 AM

The infographic used on this website shows detailed statistics of the use of social media and statistics of people that have FOMO.

This is relevant to my research and i can use the infographic to better represent the statistics rather than having the audience read through chunks of text.

By asking permission from the author to use the infographic and citing it, it would ensure that i won't break the copyright laws.

Jelly – Introducing Jelly

Jelly – Introducing Jelly | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Jelly is a new way to search with pictures and people from your social networks. It's also people helping each other—something that's both meaningful and fun.

Humanity is connected like never before. In fact, recent white papers have concluded that the proverbial “six degrees of separation” is now down to four because of social networking and mobile phones. It’s not hard to imagine that the true promise of a connected society is people helping each other.

Using Jelly is kinda like using a conventional search engine in that you ask it stuff and it returns answers. But, that’s where the similarities end. Albert Einstein famously said, “Information is not knowledge.” Knowledge is the practical application of information from real human experience.

Jelly changes how we find answers because it uses pictures and people in our social networks. It turns out that getting answers from people is very different from retrieving information with algorithms. Also, it has the added benefit of being fun. Here are the three key features of Jelly....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Jelly is an interesting you social search engine worth exploring. Take it for a test drive and see if searching within your own social networks works for you.

How TinyLetter Is Making Us Fall In Love With Email Again

How TinyLetter Is Making Us Fall In Love With Email Again | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Thanks to TinyLetter and the demise of Google Reader we're all emailing like it's 1999...

...TinyLetter is to MailChimp what Tumblr is to WordPress: It's newsletters for dummies. "I think my mom could use TinyLetter," claims Kiefer Lee. Unlike MailChimp, which caters to businesses and offers all sorts of testing and analytics features, TinyLetter provides just the basics. Writing a message is just like writing an email in Gmail, meaning the process takes only as long as crafting the body text.

Getting people to subscribe to letters is just as easy. TinyLetter provides an embed code for those who want to put a box on their website. Or interested readers can head straight to a letter's TinyLetters landing page, which consists of a short description, a place to subscribe, and a link to previous messages, all against one big, bold, and beautiful image.

Oh, and unlike MailChimp, it's free. The service does have a limit on subscribers to a given newsletter, but the company works with very popular mailers on that....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Good look at a useful newsletter and email tool called TinyLetter. Worth exploring.
