Very often I am stuck when writing because I either have no idea what to write about or I have a lot of thoughts and ideas that are mixed up in my mind and it is almost impossible to sort through them.


I want to share with you a simple technique that helps me to overcome procrastination in writing or creating a presentation on any topic. This approach is inspired by infodoodlers’ methods as described by Sunni Brown in her book “Doodle Revolution”....

Really great strategy for writing anything, pressing through writer's block.  Sticky noted ideas become kinesthetic tools for shaping argument, reaching an audience.

In the article, it explains how simple techniques can help writers with procrastination. I chose this article because I believe that a lot of students and even myself have problems with procrastination or with writers block. These techniques were very useful to me, especially the first step, which is to generate ideas. The author explains to gather ideas by using sticky notes or to doodle without any judgment. I agree with the author about not criticizing ideas because if one does it can lead to just throwing ideas into the trash and that just leads to nothing. I found this article interesting because it states to use sticky notes. I have never used sticky notes to help me with my writing just with memorization. This is a way to help form ideas, which is good for people who procrastinate because now they have an idea or form to begin their paper.
