13 New Tools to Outsource Your Content Creation in 2016 - Jeffbullas's Blog | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Employ someone and you have to consider salary, workspace, and equipment; not to mention benefits like medical care and paid vacation time.

Conversely, freelancers are only paid for the work they do.

This is generally (though not always) more cost-effective than taking on someone in-house, and allows you to increase or decrease their workload as needed.

This makes outsourcing extremely flexible, which is a huge win for small businesses.

But don’t get too excited just yet… there’s a hard part: actually finding great freelancers and managing them effectively.

Thankfully there’s plenty of tools designed to help you do just that (and many more being released all the time).

Educate more, sell less: A success story for a bigger, more qualified online audience | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it
  • Industry: IT Security
  • Content: Blogs, infographics, whitepapers, video animation, social media
  • Highlights: 172% increase in blog traffic

Demonstrating value and building brand  authority online isn’t always about selling – it’s also about your willingness (and ability) to share your expertise with those who are simply browsing. One of the most common problems faced by our IT clients – among others – is the difficulty of conveying the complex value of their offerings. This is a challenge that’s well served by educational content.

When potential buyers at the top of the funnel move further in the buying process, will they remember your company as an educational resource? If yes, they’ll work their way from blog pages over to product and services landing pages (which are critical to lead generation in B2B tech.)

An educational approach is exactly the strategy our client in the IT security space took.  Here’s their story...

Mode Media Survey Reveals How Branded Content Impacts Consumer Purchase Intent

Mode Media Survey Reveals How Branded Content Impacts Consumer Purchase Intent | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

The research findings would appear to suggest that viewing branded content on a mobile device can have a big impact on consumer purchase intent. This isn’t too surprising, given the fact that mobile devices are with us all the time and deliver personalized content on-demand. A lot of this content is branded and served up in native formats.

Impulse purchases, it would seem, are going to become fairly de rigueur -- that is, if the mobile checkout and payment process becomes easier and more seamless.

"One picture is worth a thousand words"...indeed, that could be applied to every single context. For instance, I work in a condominium management office, and we usually have to post memos on the elevators. Residents' attention has been brought when those memos have pictures instead of a lot of words.

If you would like to effectively convey a message, you have to be very careful when picking the words and combing these with a compelling picture. That will help the receiver to understand better your message and also, will be more interesting for him/her.
