As one of the most successful premium theme shops in the business, Elegant Themes is best known for its top of the line themes and plugins. Even on this blog, we tend to talk about how best to use those themes and plugins (or themes and plugins like them) to get the most out of WordPress. But today, I’m going to do something a little bit different. I’m going to roundup some of my personal favorite, free WordPress themes.
The Best Free WordPress Themes Available in 2015The themes I’ve collected below are all available via the official WordPress plugin repository. I selected most of them based on a combination of their popularity, user rating, and design. Those that do not have particularly high download counts or that are relatively new and untested made the cut due to unique design and/or standout plugin compatibility....
Headlines are important. Up to 80% of people may not even read your post if you don’t have a powerful headline that grabs people’s attention.
It’s the first impression your readers have and it will dictate whether or not they keep on reading.
In essence, your title has to pique a reader’s curiosity enough for them to want to know more about it.In fact your headline alone can be responsible for up to a 500% difference in your traffic – that’s viral.
So, even though you have the greatest blog post there is, if your headline doesn’t convey how awesome your post is, no one will read your content....

willIn past posts on social media and content strategy I’ve always included a section called something along the lines of “measure, iterate, & repeat”. This essential step in content strategy is where you take time to reflect on your content’s performance, make data driven changes to your existing strategy, and try again. All of which is pretty hard to do if you don’t have some way of measuring your efforts. That’s where social media analytics tools come in. They allow you to make informed decisions about your content strategy and (ideally) improve with each round of iteration. Which is why in today’s post I’ll be providing an overview of a wide variety of social media analytics tools WordPress users may wish to integrate into their overall content strategy efforts. Beginning with some of the best free social media analytics tools available....
But writing quality articles for your blog can be time-consuming. And at times frustrating. When I first started, I would spend 10 hours trying to write amazing content to share and grab someone’s attention. Try as I might, I’d get a measly 125 visitors.
Even at $20 an hour, that means the article cost me $200 in time costs or $1.60 per visitor. Most of whom I would never see again. You’re working full-time, raising up a family, all while maintaining a social life. If blogging is something you squeeze in when you can, just writing is not an effective use of your time.
So I went back to the drawing board to figure out how to crack the content marketing code....
