Under Armour founder, CEO Kevin Plank steps down; insider tapped for role

News nominations: Under Armour Inc said on Tuesday its founder and long-time Chief Executive Officer Kevin Plank will step down from the role next year and be succeeded by Chief Operating Officer Patrik Frisk.

Nike wasn't the only major Sports Fashion company to announce a CEO-change this week. Under Armour's CEO and founder, Kevin Plank, is moving into a different role and will be succeeded by COO, Patrik Frisk.

Nike CEO Mark Parker to step down, ex-eBay John Donahoe to replace him in 2020

"In a sign of the company’s focus on digital, Mark Parker will be replaced by John Donahoe, a Nike board member and the CEO of ServiceNow. Donahoe was formerly the CEO of eBay and is chairman of the board at PayPal."

It's been a week for company leadership shakeups in the sports fashion world. Nike has announced that Mark Parker, who has been CEO of Nike since 2006, will be stepping down and is to be replaced by John Donahoe of ServiceNow.
