Revue Science: droits de l'auteur d'auto-archiver son article dans le dépôt institutionnel de son université

La voie verte du libre accès incite les auteurs à archiver eux-mêmes une copie en libre accès de leurs articles scientifiques dans le dépôt institutionnel en ligne de leur université. Une lecture patiente du site de la revue Science m'a permis d'identifier l'article de l'accord sur les droits d'auteurs qui permet aux auteurs publiés dans cette revue de poster leur article dans le dépôt institutionnel de leur université, en libre accès.

Policy of the Nature Publishing Group concerning Green Open Access

As opposed to some legends, the Nature Publishing Group encourages authors whose articles are accepted in its commercial journals to transfer a copy of their articles in their institutional repository (IR) upon one condition: to mention that the article has been published in the journal. No one would want to hide that !

It is up to the universities to make their IR well referenced and well known to their researchers and to the scientific community in general.

Le Septième programme-cadre, dit FP7, qui s’achève fin 2013, comprend depuis 2008 un projet pilote en faveur du libre accès aux résultats de la recherche, pour 20% de son budget global. Les domaines concernés sont l’énergie, l’environnement, la santé, les technologies de l’information et de la communication, les infrastructures électroniques de recherche et les SHS. Dans ce cadre, les cofinancements accordés par l’Union européenne s’accompagnent d’une obligation de mise à disposition des résultats en libre accès. Les chercheurs restent libres d’opter pour la voie qui leur convient le mieux, dorée, publication en open access, ou verte, dépôt en archive ouverte. Attention: les publications "dorées" doivent également être déposées, dans l'intérêt des dépôts institutionnels en tant qu'inventaire complet de la production institutionnelle, en "vert".
